In addition to academic achievements in one or more of the relevant areas, we are looking for candidates who possess strong foundation and experience in scientific and engineering computing and experimentation as well as the ability to work in a cross-disciplinary setting.

Duties and Opportunities

Successful candidates are required to make significant contributions through publications in international journals and conferences. To maintain contact with students with a view of identifying potential recruits, qualified candidates are also expected to offer student projects and to conduct university courses in relevant topics at the frequency of about one course every two years. As Temasek Laboratories is a newly formed research institute supported by the Singapore Government, the positions offered are a part of our long-term effort to assemble a high-quality research team. Positions will be initially offered for a 2-3 year period, and are renewable according to performance. In addition, candidates for associate scientist positions will have the opportunity to pursue a PhD at the University during the course of their appointment.
