Background
Born in China in 1958. Obtained BEng and MEng degree in electrical & Electronic Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University in 1982, 1984 respectively.

Joined the same University in 1984 after graduation as Teaching Assistant and Lecturer. Obtained Ph.D degree from The University of Western Australia in 1992, and joined Nanyang Technological University as Lecturer and Assistant Professor, later Casem Pte Ltd as Principal Engineer. Settled in the 90’s with wife and 1 child in Singapore and is now a citizen of Singapore.

Doing research in underwater acoustic signal processing.
